Story/monsters: Ive done my research and it seems that the monster hunter series doesn't really have a story basically, you hunt beasts and monsters. The monsters remain the same from Monster Hunter 2, with the exception of Yamatsukami. Its replacement is the Tigrex, a quadrupedal dragon (that ninja dragon/trex hybrid pwns you!!) it first makes its appearance in the early stages of the game; like 3 or 4 missions into the game.

Yamatsukami & Tigrex

Game play: Monster hunter feels almost identical to PSO (Pantasy.Star.Online.) The combat system is hack & slash combined with a real time RPG just like PSO. But where Monster hunter gets it originality, is its Item system, the weapons and armor are purchasable, but the soul of the game play comes from it's creation system; In which you gather items from fallen monsters by craving them; just as a hunter would do. That was my favorite part of the game, but sadly the combat aspect got repetitive. It felt like I was doing the same mission over and over again. Do get me wrong the game is fun, just I get board of it after a while.

Graphics: Superior, for a handheld. The detail on the levels were nicely detailed. Although there wasn't much expression in the characters face, it never really changes. But that's understandable it's a handheld game; so they really don't have much of a choice.

Rating: 8/10

Monster Hunter- Revisited !!

Well this last weekend I had a LAN a buddies house it was cool; we drank dew and play monster hunter. Last week i did a game review for, i gave it an 8.5..

I was a little wrong i have to say, the game is meant to be played with other people. definitely not a single player game. The multiplayer is amazing! they have an awesome set up. first you visit the guild hall/gathering hall and someone in your party post a quest on the bulletin board and you sign up for the quest. I logged about 4 to 8 hours that night; but I paid for when i went to work the next day lol oh while it was worth it.

So I give Monster hunter a 9.2. Pick this one up if you have a psp and a love for hack & slash
